Flying into Volos and read in Frommer's Skiathos is 1.5hr hydrofoil ride, and Skopelos is 2 hrs. Which one would you recommend and why?? Thanks!

I'm sure both islands have increased in popularity since the release of Mamma Mia. Of the two, Skiathos is somewhat more touristy (especially since it has an airport). I believe Skopelos is larger, but not as crowded.
I suppose it depends on what type of "experience" you're looking for? You might find it helpful to have a look at www.greektravel.com/greekislands/sporades.htm for a description of both islands.
