Single Accommodation Suggestions Please

Dick, if you're looking to go budget, I'd first start to look at reliable Hostels with private rooms. If you've never been to a hostel, you don't know what your missing..they aren't for young kids exclusively (except in Barvaria) Check out reviews & photos here and on tripadvisor.com The other great thing is it's alot easier to meet like minded traveller's in the community eating areas, who you could end up checking out the town with. My partner and I are going to Prague and Krakow in July. Going to check out the free walking tours in both places. Email me if you have any questions.

It would help to know what your budget is.

When I was in Prague two years ago I stayed at Hostel Tyn, which I think is listed in Rick's Prague Guidebook. It was ridiculously cheap, around $14 a night. Also it is right behind Tyn Church in the middle of the old town. For me this was great as I was traveling alone and didn't have to worry about getting back to my hostel safely by myself at night. For me the hostel was very quiet and sedate. The flip side of this is that's it's far from interesting and the staff there are far from enthusiastic. Also, it is bare basics (as far as cleanliness and furniture/decor). But I didn't mind at all for the price and location. If I go to Prague again myself I will absolutely be staying there.
