I will be traveling on a group tour with 30 teens that includes a 3 day tour of a few of the islands of Greece/Turkey. the ship stops at each island for only 4 hours. Is this time to really see any worth while sites? How far are the ports in Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Heraklion and Santorini from interesting/worthwhile sites? Three of these stops--Mykonos,Patmos and Santorini will late afternoon.

In Patmos, the big attraction is St. John's Monastery and the Cave of the Apocalypse (where St. John wrote the book of Revelation). Not open all the time; check a guidebook for details. Other than that, you could wander along the harborfront or hang out on the pebble beach. From Kusadasi, you could take taxis/buses to Ephesus but you'd have to watch the time, so as not to miss your ship. If the ship has an excursion available, it might be a good idea to sign up. You wouldn't want to miss Ephesus.

Thanks for the suggestions; one of the things I am concerned about is missing the ship with such short time on these islands. I am going to book an excursion on Kusadasi one of the days we will be in port from 7am to 1130 am. Three days we will be in ports from 4pm to 9pm, so guess we will just try to see the beaches. Linda

You won't have time to see much of Santorini unless you take a ship's excursion. 4 hours is just too short a time.
