Where is the most reliable place to buy genuine pashminas in Istanbul?

You will find beautiful scarves in many shops in Istanbul but the nicest scarves were at IPEK in Beyoglu. This is a store that specializes in scarves and is mentioned in the RS Istanbul Guide. I was there in 2010
and I think that would definitely be the place to go.

You'll find Pashminas and just about anything else you can imagine at the Grand Bazaar, which in itself is worth a visit. It's one of the oldest marketplaces in the world. Do yourself a favor and make time to go there. And if you try bargaining you might just find some great deals there. I know I did. Start by offering half of what the asking price is and go up slowly. You'll usually get at least 25% off, sometimes more if you stick to your guns.
