Shopping for Icons and/or Antique Maps in Greece

Does anyone have any suggestions where I might find quality antique maps or hand painted icons? Matt Barrett recomments Zazanis Icon Shop on Ag. Theklas for icons. Does anyone have relevant experience? Thanks in advace. best, Ed

On one of my trips to Greece I discovered Apollonos Street, which is crowded with Orthodox supply shops and icon sellers. It's near the Plaka and Syntagma Square. From the Square walk down Mitropoleos Street towards the Monastiraki Metro Station about 3 blocks to Patroou Street. Turn left and walk one block to Apollonos Street. Hermes Hotel will be right in front of you when you are there. Turn right and walk along until you see what you want. On Santorini Island in the village of Oia is one of the most talented icon painters in Greece, Dimitris Koliousis. His shop is along the main pedestrian walkway not far from the Museum Spa Hotel. The shop's entrance is down below street level a few steps.
