Planning 3-4 nites on Santorini. My kids aren't big partiers, but concerned Oia may be too remote for them. We like beaches too. Welcome suggestions on where to stay.

My husband and I were in Santorini two years ago when we were 24. We both liked Oia, but yeah, it might be a little too remote for staying in. Definitely visit, but look for a hotel in Fira.
We stayed at Dana's Villas on the edge of Fira, but within walking distance to everything. We loved it.
We rented a Smart car one day and toured the island. We found a black beach (if I remember correctly) near Akrotiri.

Fira - perhaps too crazy
Oia - for newlyweds
Imerovegli - perfect ....a 15 minute walk to Fira but isolated enough at night..
And..better for an older married couple who still may want a romantic night.

We stayed in Oia (Volcanos Villas) with two teens but had a car to get around. We walked to the village every night for dinner but hit the different beaches during the day. Friends stayed on Kamari beach with their 18 year old and he LOVED it! Lots of beach and activity.
