Hi- I am researching hotels in Firostefani and when I find a place that looks good, it seems the view of the caldera is marred by powerlines. I am wondering if this is common in all hotels along the caldera? I just don't want to pay for a caldera view and see powerlines everytime I look out. Can someone clarify this? Thanks!
As you have been advised on another website, don't let the possibility of powerlines deter you. They do not interfere with one's ability to take in and enjoy the view. But if it's a deal-breaker stay in Oia instead. They've all been buried there for the properties along the cliff.
Consider locating in Oia. Wonderful sightlines. A photographers dream come true.
Ashley - I live on Santorini about 3 months a year and Powerlines , which are about as rare as murders on the island simply are not an issue.
Here's an absolutely untouchable Hotel in Oia and if you have a problem with this one - Well - You won't Http ://www.greekhotel.com/cyclades/santorin/oia/esperas/home.htm#!!!!
Please take the virtual tour on the top section of the webpage and ENJOY Santorini!!!
