I can help you with Oia. Please tell me how you want to break up your group bedroom-wise, and what is your maximum combined daily accomodation budget? How many twin beds vs. doubles?

Hi Lee, so I think the breakdown would be 4 double beds and 1 twin bed or at least 2 double beds and 5 twin beds. Maximum budget would be $300/night. Thank you.

$300 = €231 Unfortunately, I'm afraid you'll have to stretch your budget if you want to stay in Oia in July. Most accomodations in Oia come with a caldera view and consequently command top dollar. I can't think of any one villa that is large enough for 9 people for that amount of money. "Villa Marina" comes closest at €320. It may be necessary to split the group up and take 2 or 3 smaller units in a complex. Check "Oia's Sunset Hotel", "Musses Studios" (top floor units have a nice sea view) and "Anemomilos Hotel" (but don't confuse it with Anemomilos Suites and Villas in Fira). With these last 3 it's very likely that some of you will be sleeping in the open living area, not in a bedroom. I will say that because bookings are down due to the economic downturn in Greece you can sometimes get a nice discount. Write to them and ask if they have anything available for 'X' euro/night, being sure to include your travel dates and the size of your group. Don't try to low-ball them too much, maybe 10-15% maximum, and you might just get them to accept your offer. Praise the website and mention all the good reviews you've read. A little "sugar" can sometimes work wonders. You can also try searching this website. Use the "Change Search" function to indicate the size of your group and how many of you per room. Good Luck, I hope you find what you need for an affordable price.

Hi Lee, I meant 300 euro a night....sorry. But I will definitely check all the lodging sites you suggested. Of course budget lodging will give us more budget to spend on excursion and food....yes good Greek food and with 5 teenagers we need extra for food. Our teenagers do not mind sleeping in open at all. Any suggestion for Mykonos? Thanks for your help

With a budget of €300/night your search is considerably easier but still not a sure thing. You still might need to book 2 or more units unless you like Villa Marina and are willing to pay just a little more. Sorry, no info for Mykonos.
