What are there hotels you use in Moscow and St. Petersberg and why.

In St. Petersburg we will be using Sokos hotel because it was chosen by a tour company we are going with. In Moscow we chose apartment because it's financially wise. We will be 6 of us.

How long are you going to be in each city? If staying in St. P for a week, look into an apartment. Less expensive, can get good locations, have a kitchenette for morning coffee and cereal, 'frig to keep the vodka cold..... If in Mos for just a couple of days, spend the extra money and go for convenient location near the Krem & Red Sq. We stayed at the Assembleya Nikitskaya. Excellent but pricey as most of them are.

hi joyce, i was in russia last week and only visited saint petersburg for about 4 days. i picked nevsky inn bed and breakfast because it had good reviews on trip advisor, free breakfast, good wifi, and the best location!! we were right next to the admiral sky metro, a mcdonalds, and a subway, making it easy for us to find. we were a 5 min walk from church of the savior of spilled blood and the winter palace. nevsky inn really did meet my standards - clean, quiet, great service, fresh food, good price. hope this helps,
