IMHO Russia is big enough for two weeks and then some.

I agree with Ilja. We spent 3 days in Mos and 7 in St. Pete last Sept and neither visit was too long. In fact, in St. Pete we didn't have enough time to visit the Natl Mus and some of the other sites. Don't skimp on your time...you might never get back to the two cities. BTW, we did Russia "on our own" and it worked out fine. We were able to plan our own itinerary, pick our own hotels and allot our time as we deemed necessary. If you want some specific ideas, let me know and I'll fwd info to you. Go for it! We've visited most of the major cities of Europe and our visit to St. Pete was right up at the very top of the most memorable. Moscow...so,so, but St. Pete is worth at least a week. With a few extra days to fill, a bus to Tallinn, Estonia, if it works out is a nice couple of days in a very charming city. Or, a flight to Warsaw for a few days would provide a surprising insight into the resilency of the Poles following WWII. Good flights back our of Warsaw, too. We found Warsaw more interesting that Krakow, tho it was very nice, also.
