Route & timing between Prague, Viena, Cesky Krumlov, Salzburg

I will be traveling by Car. I am trying to figure out best route starting from Prague. I intend to visit Vienna, CK, and Salzburg. What is the best order of visit? My map analysis looks like go to Vienna, then see CK & Salzburg on way to Munich. Anyone made this drive? Suggestions based on experience are much appreciated. Any reason to care about crossing Austria/Czech border twice if I go Prague -> Vienna -> CK? Thanks, Scott

Renting a car in Cz or Hungary comes w/ xtra liability and rental companies do not allow renting in Austria then taking to Hu and Cz due to high crime rates re vehicles. So this makes visiting these areas diff. I was there in this May. so if you must start in Prague then drive to Cesky drop off rental bef you reach Austria train or bus it to Salzburg then train to Vienna then train to Budapest.

Thanks for your response. I have spoken with Hertz since my original post. If I rent BMW, Mercedes, or Audi I may not cross border into Czech Republic. If I rent Opel (I am - cost conscious) I may take the car across Czech border.
