Rhodes - Medieval Town Tour?

Hi Does anyone know of a tour guide/company that would do an "immersion" tour of the medieval town of Rhodes? I am a medievalist by avocation, and I would greatly appreciate having a guide who can speak knowledgeably and in detail about the town when it was the seat of the Order of Saint John. Thank you.

Most advertised tours of Rhodes Old Town seem to include shopping & not a very medieval-academic perspective. IMHO, I advise "homework" in some really good books such as "Blue Guide" to the Islands, and Cadogan Guide to Greek Islands (a UK book, latest edition 2008 but the sights have not changed). Research helps to sift fact from fiction, and reveal how much of the "medieval look" was heavily "restored" by Mussolini's henchmen, when he wanted Rhodes as his Holiday resort. I.e., Grandmaster's palace for example is pure fiction; it burned to the ground in 19th Century and current version is Fascist architect's vision, and Street of Knights not much better The city walls however, are NOT fake and a Wall-walk is a genuine thrill... look up the times, & don't miss it!
