I am spending 16 days in Greece and Turkey. I fly into Rhodes on May 23rd for 3 nights. Does anyone have a hotel recommendation? Should I stay in old town or new town? I leave Rhodes to enter Turkey via ferry at Marmaris or Bodrum. I am leaning towards Marmaris but would love to hear recommendations? How about an overnight boat trip? Any suggestions? Thanks for all your help!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Via Via Hotel in the old town of Rhodes. The rooftop views are fantastic and the owner has done a great job in decorating the place. They have a website and it looks like you'll be in time for the low season prices.

for budget hotel you can use domus in the old town center. small rooms, clean, with free pc/internet. you can get a room with view of the mosque. the old town and new town are very close about 5-10 min walk. from old town it's easy to access the beach but old town early morning or evening walks are great. speed boat from rhodos to mammaris is about 2hrs from there you can take a domus to bodrum maybe 3hrs. i didn't stop in mamaris but did visit bodrum and use it as base to see other small towns around. it has a good size old town you can walk around and shop, castle, many old style boats on the waterfront.

Hi Tracy, I have stayed in Marina Vista Hotel in Bodrum. I will happily return there. Reasonable rates and very good location. You can see some pictures and reviews. http://www.crispy-hotels.com Comparing Marmaris or Bodrum, I will go for Bodrum. It is livelier than Marmaris.
