I am an American college student studying abroad this semester, and I am going to be visiting Prague for just two days from the evening of Tuesday, April 12th to the morning of Thursday, April 14th. It will be my first time in Prague. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do, sites to see, museums to visit, places to eat, etc. (keeping in mind that I am on a college student's budget and that I am only in Prague for one night, one day, and one morning)? Thank you!
I had a similar trip to Prague and ended up sticking to Prague's main attractions . You will want to visit the Old Town Square and see the astronomical clock and Tyn Church. You should also check out the Charles Bridge. And there is the Castle.... It depends a little on your interests - do you like churches, museums....There is so much.
The Mucha Museum is very good and won't take too big a chunk of your day. Prague is very spread out, when I went I picked an area and pretty much stuck to that but left some time for wandering.
Rick's son Andy does college weekend tours in Europe - not that you need to take his tour, but his site might have some ideas for what to do. See: http://www.wsaeurope.com/blog/
