Reasonable Prague hotel

We will be in Prague Sept. 21 through Sept.25 and we're on a limited budget. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Richard, I would highly recommend the Green Garland Pension in Prague. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, it's in a great location and the staff are wonderful. My room didn't have a TV, which I missed slightly. Happy travels!

Also check out Lida Guest House - it's a little out of the city center but a comfortable place to stay with great hosts.

You don't define "limited" budget, but I thought the Hotel Central Prague was a fine value for the location, and it included breakfast.

Richard, My vote is for Garland Pension (U Zeleneho Vence) as well. It was reasonably priced and definitely worth it! The location is absolutely prime! It is centrally located between the Charles Bridge, the Old Town and Wenceslas Square, a few minutes walk to each. What makes this area so special are the back streets with beautiful old architecture and quaint cobblestone lanes. Just strolling through these streets, especially between sunset/twilight is incredible! The room I had was very clean and looked very well maintained. The bed was clean and comfortable. A continental breakfast is also included. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were kind enough to answer my many questions regarding transportation, food as well as the Czech culture.

We were happy with the Hotel Hastal, next door to the Maximillian, but less expensive. 2 minutes to the Old Town Square.

After you have checked other websites, send an email to Lida Janska (in R.S. book) to see what she can offer. We got a clean, modern apartment for the 4 of us for less than 100 euros a night.

Thanks for all your help. We booked a room for 4 days at the MELANTRICH HOTEL in Prague. Now I'm wondering if anyone knows a reasonable hotel from in Vienna. We go there by train from Prague and stay from September 25 through the 29th. Thanks is advance to all you experienced travelers over 50! Rick Price Barrington, IL
