A'm traveling to Warsaw and then on to Kiev and want to go by rail. I'm on a tight schedule and would like to purchase the rail tickets from the states before I get to Warsaw. Does anyone know how I would go about doing that?

This isn't really possible, efficient or helpful to you to buy a ticket here for Eastern europe. A travel agent may be able to do it through a special agency. Or contact a Polish travel agency online. Warsaw is very user friendly and easy to manage the train station. An English speaking agent can easily set you up. It's a very long overnight train ride. the border stop will be an hour or two. Not sure if this helps you but good luck on your trip.
