Ahoj! I will be travelling solo to Prague the first week of October .. it's a tiny bit discouraging regarding how many posts I have seen that indicate Prague is 'overloaded with tourists' .. has anyone been in the first week of October and could perhaps the crowds be even a little thinner? (I chose this time of year specifically so it wouldn't be too busy....)

My wife and I were in Prague last October. Though we enjoyed it, it was very crowded. However, the countryside outside of Prague was much more to our tastes and we are planning on returning, spending as little timje as possiblke in Prague

We were there at the beginning of October of last year. It was very busy and crowded, but then again, it is a huge city with a large tourist draw.
Would I avoid it because of that? No way... Any metropolitan area is going to be full of people any time of year.
