Prague Hotel Recommendation ($100 per night range or less)

Hi everyone I'm going to Prague with 2 of my buddies over the Labor Day weekend. Does anyone have a good recommendation -- we'll be looking for 3 single rooms, close to the downtown area. We want to keep the daily rate to at/under $100. We plan to stay 3 nights (Fri/Sat/Sun).
Much thanks! Mike

Hi Mike
We were in Prague 7-8 years ago and stayed at Guest House Lida, recommended by Rick Steves (at least it was at that time; I don't know if it is any longer.) The host was really wonderful - his name is Jan Prouza - very very helpful. The place was highly affordable (something like $50 at the time), clean, with a good breakfast. It was about 15 min outside the city by tram. (You may want to stay closer). Hope this helps Brenda

Confirm previous post re: Lida. Short walk to metro, a couple restaurants and bank on way to metro. In a residential area. Not sure how close to downtown you need to be, and more of a guest house than hotel. We loved it. But we were ready to rest, not go out by, after dinner.
