We are planning to go to Prague this summer but would also like to see some other parts of the country. Can anyone suggest other points of interest?

As a native of the Czech Republic I could suggest too many points of interest. Read Rick Steves book: Prague and the Czech Republic if you haven't, yet. Tell me how long time you have in C.R. and what you are interested in (towns, castles, nature, folklife festivals-in summer they are many, some of them quite authentic, breweries, wineries, etc.). Then I can suggest some itineraries for you.

Wow! So glad you are planning to see more than Prague! We live in Prague but always go out to the countryside in spring, summer, and fall. If you like cycling and hiking, there are glorious places. Even just a scenic drive in the right place can be great. Wine tasting. Check out www.hedgie.eu for some information on the Highlands to get you started.
