Anyone could give any tips on good value apartment rental for Prague? In Budapest we are renting the Astoria Residence, so something similar in price and quality would be great.
Alvin
I don't know the Astoria Residence so don't know the standard you're after.
In May I stayed in the Apartment u Nemocenske Pojistovny, which was absolutely fine. Quite small, and not great if you want to do a lot of cooking, but quiet, clean and nicely positioned just outside the absolute centre. Details here

but you have to click on other and then on Nemocenske Pojistovny. I've stayed at various other places from this agency which have all been quite similar, but slightly further out. I think this is the best of them.
I've also used this agency

but not for anywhere in Prague.

Thanks Alan, I'm trying to book the same apartment as you had in May. The Astoria Residence is here:

I hope you like the apartment. Especially if it's warm, which it was in May, it's nice having windows that open right out and a balcony.
Petrske Namesti - left out of the apartment, left onto Klimentska, and then right onto Barviska - is only about 3 minutes away and has a nice Italian restaurant.
If you cross the square and walk up Zlatnicka the last bar on the left, just before you reach the Cafe Imperial, is a reasonable place to eat and drink fairly cheaply. Nothing fancy but a standard Prague bar.
Have a good time
Alan
Thank you for the answer, we had a wonderful time in Prague, staying at the Castle Steps.
