My wife and I are looking for a reasonably priced apartment in Prague for 5 nights -- 23 November through 27 November 2008 -- departing 28 November. We are interested in Mala Strana or Stare Mesto or easy walk/transportation to these areas.

I've stayed here a couple of times. It's in a nice area, with good places to eat round about, and only 2 minutes to a metro station.

It never took me longer than 15 minutes to get down to Mustek.
If this doesn't take your fancy there are plenty of other options on this site.

In 2006, we stayed in an apt on Milady Horakove Av in a neighborhood next to Letensky Park. It was spacious and cheap, next to the Hotel Belvedere (where we watched the World Cup final) and 5 blocks from Vltava metro station. The center was never more than 10 mins away and the walks around the apt were terrific.
