Pollera was the Krakow hotel

(Forgot to name it). Felt Rick was right on with his suggestions, as usual, for the most part. Esp. enjoyed the Treasury in Vienna. See if you can get the Sisi movie (only 1 is in English) before you go - will make Vienna+Budapest potentially more interesting (it did for me anyway-interlibrary loan)and don't forget to check that the sights are open the days you will be in the towns (I had mostly Mondays in Vienna, so had to plan carefully to get the art museum in). SRO seats the way to go at the opera. I paid $40 for the ballet and there was someone standing practically next to me. I was too sore from sitting on the train to stay after intermission (seats not comfortable). Sacher torte DRY in both places, but you can get a smaller piece (and less touristy) upstairs at Demel. Went to the Divine Mercy Chapel (Sr. Faustyna) in Krakow as a religous interest of mine and the Pope Paul sites. The energy vortex Rick speaks of is when you walk into the courtyard (castle) - turn left - that corner. There was a guard there (watching an entrance/exit). He spoke openly of the vortex. The only thing I thought Rick was off on was the Szecheny (sp?) baths in Budapest. Sometimes (when it comes to wet, moist environments) you don't want egalitarian! (TOO many people, yucky!). It is easy to access by public transport and in a part of town with other sites...but Gellert I'm sure would be less "public" and there is one close to the MArriott called RUDAS (only certain days for women).
