Has anyone taken a bus from Plitvice Lakes to Split during off season? I am going there in mid October. I checked the schedule and there will be several buses leaving Zagreb to PL. I will spend the nigth there and hoping to catch an early bus to Split from there. Which entrance does it stop at? I will also be taking a bus from Zagreb to Rovinj. Has anyone traveled this route? I can always a car but I am trying to avoid it unless I have no choice. Thanks in advance.

: I took the bus everywhere in Croatia and had absolutely no problem. There is nothing to worry about. If you travel during high season you might not be able to get on but other than that, they are cheap and efficient.

We were in Plitvice Lakes in June, and were absolutely amazed and totally blown away by the park. I have been in many parks, but that is right up there in the top 10. I'm sure that you enjoyed it too.

We did the same thing a few years ago, staying overnight at the park before hopping on a bus (we went to Split). There is a bus stop outside the park entrance with bus schedule. We just waited (maybe 30 minutes?) until the bus came along.
