I will be in Munich for one night and one night in Vienna and would like to know any recommendations fo a place to stay. I woud like to spend no more than 150 dollars.
Also, any ideas on what to see in Vienna?
Thanks in advance.

What month are you going? (it makes a difference in what kind of accomodations you can get for that price)
When in Vienna I always stay at Pension Suzanne website: http://www.pension-suzanne.at .
Thanks for the reply, I will be there in March; arriving the 11th of March to Munich
Thank you :)
We stayed at Hotel Pension Franz.

We really enjoyed it (it was about 3.5 years ago). Great location (our room faced Votive Church) and we could walk just about anywhere. Close to a subway stop, too.
I second the recommendation of the Pension Suzanne. It's steps from the Opera, so a terrific location. If you're particularly sensitive to street noise, you might want to request a room overlooking the interior courtyard. There's a computer in the office area that is set up for guest usage for email and Internet access. In my opinion, the only downside is lack of air conditioning, and that's no problem in March.
I'm not sure how much the room was (we were there about 3 years ago), but we stayed at the Maritm Hotel in Munich and it was pretty good. Even if it's out of your range, there should be other hotels in this area. It was right by the train station, and about a 10 minute walk into the heart of Marienplatz so the location is solid.
Thank you all for the suggestions, I would ideally like to stay near the Marianplaz area. I have another question, how likely is it to find something comfortable for three people in one room? Is that realistic or should we be thinking 2 rooms?
I just returned from Germany and there were three people in my group. In Munich, we stayed at the Herzog-Wilhelm hotel. It is within walking distance of the Marienplatz and Karlsplatz. We all felt it was a great and inexpensive hotel. We got one double room and one single room, but I think they have a three-person room available. You can check out their website at herzog-wilhelm.de which lists prices and room availability.
Good Luck!!
