Use the search function at the top of the page and put in Krakow room or krakow hotel and you will see the previous discussions on this topic.

Also, check out trip advisor and the thorn tree on lonely planet if you want to expand your search.

Lastly, you do need to take some time to detail out what you are looking for - are you into budget, midpriced, or expensive options. Does it location matter - i.e. center of town or out in the suburbs.

I would recommend the Sheraton - great hotel, nice location next to the castle. However, not sure if you are looking to spend that much.

I stayed at the Sheraton as well, its the most expensive hotel in town, but off-season rates are very reasonable. If you can get a discounted rate I recommend the Sheraton.

I love the Hotel Saski, just a few steps from
Market Square. Older hotel, but well kept with
a variety of rooms and great breakfast included.

We stayed at Amadeus Hotel for 3 night. We had previously been booked at the Hotel Pollera but upon seeing our room there, and their lack of air conditioning, we decided to venture out on our own and we found the Hotel Amadeus. We requested a room and were told they were booked. We were asked to sit in their small lobby and rest while they checked other hotels - this was very thoughtful and something three other hotels had not offered to us. About 10 minutes later we were told they had done some re-arranging and that we could have our choice of two rooms. The porter showed us these rooms, we chose one on the first floor, an inside room facing a somewhat overgrown courtyard, but totally acceptable. We were very happy to have our bags off our backs, and settle into a clean room. The room and size were average, gingersnap cookies on the bed were a nice touch (although, there is no nightly turn down service to the cookies never appeared again). The room smelled strongly of orange which was very welcome at first but after a while we found the source (a plug-in) and removed it from the wall as it was becoming over-powering. Still, I preferred to have removed it and had the nice smell to begin with over not having it smell at all!

The bathroom was very clean, stand-up shower only, but nice robes were also provided. The room had a small safe which was nice. The breakfast was good with all that you expect on a European breakfast buffet. We were also give 20% off any menu items for lunch or dinner at their restaurant.

The location of the hotel is great. Walk out the front door, to the right, and you're about a block away from the main square. You'll pass by several restaurants and pubs so you'll never be hungry.

The reception area was a little bit dark, perhaps they just leave the lights off during the day, but the staff was friendly, helpful, and always available to assist. I would definitely recommend staying here. See pictures at o http://gadtravel.blogspot.com
