We will be in Patmos on a cruise stop and are trying to find out what the hours are for the Cave of Apolcalypse. We will be there on a Thursday in mid-October.

My Lonely Planet (7th edition) says the hours for both the Monastery of St. John and the Cave of the Apocalypse are 8 am-1:30 pm daily, plus 4-6 pm on Tues, Thurs, Sun. You might want to check the Lonely Planet website (or the Patmos website: www.patmos-island.com) to see if there is more recent information. We took a bus to the Monastery (although you can walk, about 4 km uphill). From the monastery, you can walk down to the Cave or you can take the bus back to town, which drops you at the Cave, and another bus stops in about 45 minutes to pick you up and take you the rest of the way down. If you're going to do this, I recommend seeing both the Monastery and the Cave.
