I am looking for a castle in Vienna, Prague, Dresden or Zurich that we can stay overnight in. We have been to Europe on two prior occasions and my wife has always want to stay overnight in a castle. I have not been able to full her dream, but I have one more chance. I am looking for a real castle in Prague, not a building in the city or in the county that has a castle in its name, A REAL CASTLE! Towers and all. We will be traveling May/June. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

In addition to hotels on this website I know about two more. One is in Zbiroh Castle and one in Chateau Valtice (but this one is a little farther from Prague).

Near Dresden: Schloss Eckberg is lovely Castle on a budget, near Dresden: Schloss Schaenke in Bautzen. The annex rooms are in an ancient tower of the city walls. Main inn is NOT a castle. Ginormous castle: Konigstein (south of Dresden) has 2 simple apts. within the castle that can be rented. Not a typical hotel, but you really are IN the castle! http://www.festung-koenigstein.de/index.php/holiday-flat.html Best castle hotel ever (IMHO): Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg, however it's located on the Rhine. Some more in Saxony: Hohnstein - a hostel in Saxon Switzerland (between Dresden and Prague). Great if you want to hike there.
