We have been trying to confirm an overnight bus from the Pamukkale bus station to the Cappadocia (Goreme) bus station in late October 2011, but haven't been able to do so. One place says it leaves at 19:00 and another at 11:30. It looks as if the Turkey bus companies do not book reservations on line. So where do we confirm there is such an overnight trip? Where does it leave from and arrive at?

Hi Lawrence, You might find some info here: http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/trans/Bus/index.html When we took an overnight bus from Cirali to Goreme, we waited until we arrived in Turkey and the staff at our hotel helped us book it.

That's good planning to use the hotel staff or owners in each of the countries. We've had a few help us with some planning along the way, especially in Kefalonia Greece. Have used Turkey Travel Planner. Sometimes they are a little vague. But will keep checking.

there are overnight buses. one of the biggest companies is called pamukkale, and it has an office in the town center of pamukkale. you buy ticket from that office, and you leave from there as well. book ticket on line is not popular in most countries, so it's very common you have to buy ticket when you get there. i suggest you buy it when you arrive in pamukkale. there are possibly 2 or 3 other bus companies on the same street so you can shop and compare.
