Opera and dinner in Prague

Prague experience.com offers Opera and gourmet dinner with a private limousine. The limousine picks you up at the hotel, to the opera, then to the restaurant(choice of three restaurants all well rated on Trip Advisor) and then takes you back to the hotel. The opera tickets are said to be top rated. Has anybody used this group? I would appreciate any reviews or opinions. It is a little bit pricey. There are two levels and the difference is in the choices on the 3 course meal.

I can't help you either. I've been to the ballet in Prague a few years back and went to a nice restaurant with a view of the river afterward. Can't remember the restaurant name but for some reason "swan" comes to mind some how. Really nice place equal to the box seats we bought at the ballet, but I hired a car and driver for the evening. the end result of this response is that I have bumped you back to the top where maybe you will get real help. come to Budapest and I can help you set up a great evening.

Joseph, got you message and since you are coming to Bpest, lf you want to see an Opera or Ballet or Opperett then it is worth the effort and easy. First purchase the tickets on line the moment they become available which is 60 - 75 days prior. Things sell out fast here. If you are bringing a sports coat or better than buy the best seat you can afford. Might cost 13,000 forints ($60) at the very most, but there are extremely inexpensive tickets too. In both the Opera and the Opperett I prefer the boxes. Why buy the best? In Prague you will see a very good production but half the audience or more will be tourists like you. in Bpest you will also see a great performance but 90% of the tourists will ge in the cheap seats. Still the performance will be overwhelmingly Hungarian in attendance. They love their theater and you will get to be a part of it. Think of it as a cultural experience. Make reservations at Callas Cafe next door to the Opera and about two blocks from the Opperett Theater. Because Rick S. likes to put you guys in hotels way down in Kalvin or Astoria. I suggest you call a Taxi. If you do it yourself and call City Taxi or similar it will be less than $10 each way.
