Will be in Split for a day in mid-September. Our cruise ship docks at 9:00 AM and will leave at 5:00 PM.
Any recommedations on what to do/see/eat?

You must go to diocletians palace. There is enough to see and do for a few hours. In addition you can stroll on the riva. If you are a fan of Art, the Ivan Mestrovic gallary is very nice. We walked to the gallery, but with your short time in split you would want to take a cab.
