Old Town Dubrovnik reccomendation

We were in Croatia in 2009. Amazing country! We stayed at a place with lots of stairs that we loved, but this is one that we contemplated: http://www.dubrovnik-online.com/villa_adriatica/ When we were there, we walked by it everyday. The terrace looks amazing. Have fun!

We stayed in old town Dubrovnik in April 2010 in Divine 1 apartment rented thru Butterfly Services. Viktor and Isabella, who operate this service, were most helpful with the booking, finding us the right location in the old town (we too wanted one within old town walls but not with lots of stairs), arranging pick-up service at airport, meeting and greeting us in Dubrovnik and looking after the problem we encountered with internet connection promptly. We would recommend this apartment - great location in old town - and if it is not available, taking the recommendation from Isabella would be fine. the web site for the Divine 1 is - http://www.butterflyservices.hr/en/holiday_rentals/rentals/view_apartment/43# Many sobes & apts in within and outside old town walls have lots & lots of stairs. We would recommend you walk around the top of the old town walls - great views and experience. Also, searching out the "Hole in Wall" bar that Rick writes about is worth the effort - another WOW experience.

In July 2011 we stayed in the apartment on the top floor of Rooms & Apartments Kortizija, on Od tabakarije 27, just outside the Pile Gate. It was near both the water & the old town, and only one small flight down from the main road. However, we were on the top floor and of course no elevator, so if stairs are a big issue this may not work for you. The price was reasonable, the place was clean & comfortable, & the A/C was great.
