How safe is the night train from Kracow to Vienna for solo woman traveler? Would get couchette.

It is fine. You likely will be bunked with other backpackers. If you want to spend a few more dollars get a sleeper and you will only be bunked with other females. I stayed in 3 bunk sleepers and met some great people. Plus you can lock your compartment from the inside.
