Need Help Planning Czech Republic Intinerary

This is my first time visiting the Czech Republic and my first time planning a trip without a guide! I desperately need help as my trip is fast approaching. I have 7 days to utilize and will have a house to stay with friends in Nymburk (45minutes outside Prague). I definitely would like to see Prague, Kutna Hora and Ceský Krumlov. We arrive Friday night and our friends would like to take a weekend trip while they have off from work. After Sunday, I have 5 other days to plan either time in Prague or day trips. Please please, anyone with recommendations for places to visit on the weekend trip and the 5 days after would be greatly appreciated!

I got impression that you are looking for day trips from Nymburk. Am I right? Are your friends Czechs? Are you going to drive around or utilize public transport? What would you like to see? Towns, castles, nature etc. For example Cesky Krumlov would be difficult to do as a day trip even with the car. But if you would stay overnight I recommend that. On that trip you could also add Ceske Budejovice where original Budweiser is made. (German name for C.B. is Budweis). On the same trip I would also stop in Tabor, town which was founded not by a king or nobility but by religious rebels Hussites. If you are into spa culture the most beautiful spa IMHO is Marianske Lazne. But that is not good for day trip from Nymburk , either. Kutna Hora and Prague are doable as day trips from Nymburk. Very good suggestion for your itinerary are in Rick Steves book Prague and the Czech Republic. The last weekend in May there will be very good folklife festival in Vlcnov. Folk costumes, songs, folk music, wine, horses. To know more, google: Ride of kings in Vlcnov. If you have specific questions I would be happy to try to answer them. O.K. now after I read your question again, it's clearer. So for weekend: C.K., C.B., Tabor, day trips Prague, K.H., castles Karlstejn, Krivoklat, Konopiste (probably not enough time for all, choose- they are in R.S.book Prague and the C.R.). Or if you are into folklife and the date is right then Vlcnov's ride of kings. (Not as a day trip.) These are suggestions which just crossed my mind. Obviously there could be many more.
