We are doing a 3 country trip: Italy, Slovenia & Croatia this September 2012. We fly into Italy (Venice) rent the vehicle there. Since our car rental is from Italy, we understand that we must have a "international GREEN insurance card" and that we still may need an extra insurance sticker or stamp to drive to Dubrovnik on the main highway through the 12km or so Bosnia borders. From our research looks like we can purchase some type of legal insurance @ Bosnia border. All this seems like such a hassle to spend 4 days in Dubrovnik and only zip through the Bosnia border. Has anyone driven to Dubrovnik recently and had a rental car from Italy? Please help if you can, with comments and cost of insurance.
