We are considering driving from Nafplion to Finikoundas. Michelin on the web indicates that the trip takes almost 9 hours, with the last 97 kilometers to Finikoundas taking 7 hours. We would like to know if this is accurate since the entire distance is only 142 miles. Thank you for any information.

Nine hours sounds extreme. I've never been to Finikoundas but I've been down to Kalamata which is around 3 to 3.5 hours from Nafplio.
The Rough Guide says the bus from Kalamata to Finikoundas takes just over 2 hours.
I would have thought, then, that Nafplio to Finikoundas is around 5 hours.
It's a while since I've done the road but if time is a factor you might want to consider cutting back from Nafplio to Nemea to join the motorway, rather than going cross country to Tripolis. On the other hand the Nafplio to Tripolis road is more dramatic.
