Mykonsos

My husband and I will be in Mykonsos for 3 days in April. We were wondering about visiting Delos and if that would be an entire day to get there and back. Also, has anyone eaten at La Maison de Catherine on Mykonsos?

Delos is just off-shore from Mykonos. Typically, you would buy a ticket from one of the several excursion companies, and they run boats back and forth on a regular schedule (hourly?) Not sure how long a formal guided tour would take, but if you allow about a half a day, that should be plenty.

Delos is a must see, and it won't take a whole day. I have never eaten at La Maison de Catherine, but reading the not so great reviews, very pricey for what you get by the sounds of it. A taverna with excellent food can be found at Agios Stefanos, just a kilometer north of the new port, right on the beach. Can't remember the name of it, but food was fantastic. Take some time to wander the streets and have a gyro at Jimmy's (he's been making gyros on Mykonos for 40 odd years). He is now on one of the back streets in a bigger place and anyone who lives in Myk will tell you how to find him. It will be the best gyro or souvlaki you have ever tasted! If you have time, take a local bus to Ano Mera and wander through the monastery.
