We are leaving for a week in Dubrovnik on Friday. Beyond the guide book recommendations does anyone have some "can't miss" suggestions?!
You must go to the cliffside bar for sunset. You literally walk through a door on the seaside wall of the city. It is paradise.
Wake up early and walk through the deserted town which you will have to yourself along with the locals. Look for the local market that springs up in one of the squares - and walk by the waterfront at an early hour - you will get a different feel for the place.
Hi Liz,
Paul has a great tip about the cliff side bar at sunset. It's called Cold Drinks "Buza." Look for it just up from the cathedral, behind St. Ignatius' Church through a doorway in the city wall.
It's in the guidebooks, but make sure you walk all around the wall!
Piggybacking on the prior post, my recommendation if walking around the wall is to do it late in the day, close to sunset when the pictures and colors are fabulous. Also, the crowds are also probably a little less.
