Hi -
Other than Mexico and Canada my husband and I have never been outside the US. I will be visiting family in Moscow and plan to spend about 5 days there and in St. Petersburg. We are then thinking of heading to the Dalmatian Coast for a few days and thought maybe of going somewhere else after that -
Any suggestions?
Depends on how much time you're planning to spend. Moscow to Dalmatia (Split or Dubrovnik ?) is a long way. You want to stay in the Adriatic area? Will you be getting around by car, train, bus or plane? When will you be going?
Just so you're aware, if you travel by rail from St. Petersburg to the Adriatic coast, by my rough estimation, you can expect to spend the equivalent of at least 4 travel days in transit. Of course, flying would be much faster...
We will definitely fly from Moscow to the Dalmatian Coast (and anywhere else that is a long distance) and we thought about staying there for about 4 days and going somewhere else for about a week.
We don't like to move around too much, so we thought it would be great to pick a place that we could do day trips from. Maybe somehwere in Italy.
There are just so many options, we really don't know what to do - we also thought about after Moscow heading to South of France/Spain and skipping the Dalmatian coast -
