We are planning to spend a couple of nights in a hotel after our St. Petersburg visit. We only have a couple of days in Moscow so we wanted to be near the normal tourist areas. Does anyone have any hotel suggestions? Thanks.

I made a trip to Moscow, for Orthodox Christmas two years ago. I am of that age where walking in Red Square was a singular experience. Orthodox Christmas is early January so it was bitterly cold which in my mind only enhanced the experience. Stayed at the somewhat tired five star Hotel National which is across the street from Red Square. Even had a room with a view of the square. Two US presidents have stayed in the same hotel, again adding to the. .... Remember I am of that age where. ........ In the winter the prices were not too bad. Worked for my experience but not sure I would encourage anyone to day on my recommendation.
