Moldova

You mean what to see/do in Moldova or how to get there?

You should visit the capital (Chisinau), take the usual trip to the wineries (Cricova, Milestii Mici), check out the medieval fortresses in Soroca and Orhei, see some monasteries (Tipova, Capriana) and so on.

Some people also like to see the strange mix of communism, nationalism, capitalism and criminality that is the separatist region of Transnistria (this is probably the area about which there are "horror" stories, not the whole Moldova).

I would be carefull travelling over there.I've never been to Moldova, but I heard some horror stories.
Criminals dressed as policemen might stop you on the road at gun point and ask you for money.
