I wouldn't hesitate one bit. I have done plenty of traveling in the Middle East during times when the newspapers were reporting trouble, but I never found any. People will treat you the way you treat them. It's a great travel destination. Go and have a wonderful time. No worries...

I live in Israel. It is perfectly safe to travel here. If you can travel independently in Europe, you can do it in Israel. It is also very easy to cross the borders to Egypt and Jordan, and there are several reputable companies that have tours that leave from Israel to Egypt and to Jordan.

If you have any other questions, it's best to send me a private message, so I get an email alert - I am not necessarily a daily visitor to the RS helplines (sorry, folks, but sometimes life just gets in the way).

I have been to Israel and it is very safe. The food is wonderful and you are treated very well.

I would suggest you know where you are going.

The later pard of November is a pleasant time to visit as it is normally shirt sleeve weather.

I love the Middle East and wouldnt hesitate to go. The people are terrific, the food fabulous and the history unmatched....I would return anytime but would recommend October or February for the climate.
