Marble House Pension Athens, Greece-What's it like?

Has any stayed at the Marble House Pension this year? What was your experience. We are planning to arrive in Athens in September and would like to spend a few nights in Athens and tour the city and Corinth Canal.

I've never stayed in the Marble House but have passed it several times and it's in a nice location: a quiet cul-de-sac in a pleasant Greek neighbourhood.

If you go to Corinth be sure to go to ancient Corinth and to Acrocorinth. Ancient Corinth has quite extensive Roman ruins and, if you are prepared to walk up some steep footpaths, from the top of Acrocorinth you can see both ends of the Corinth Canal.

Also, are you aware you can now get a train direct from the airport to Corinth, so a circular trip is possible.

Cheers
Alan

I stayed at the Marble House Pension in 2006. Although it was in a nice neighborhood and was inexpensive and clean, we were woken up at 1:30 am by very loud music coming from the apartment building behind us, the room was very hot and the ceiling fan that was in the room was very loud. I would recommend the Pension but I would make sure you have air conditioning which I believe a few of the rooms have. As the staff leaves for the night, I would also recommend getting a telephone number so if you have any problems in the night you will be able to call someone.
