We will be going on a week-long cruise from Split in October, arriving on a Saturday from Ancona by ferry at 07:00 and leaving again at 13:00. We will be traveling for over 3 weeks and will each be carrying a good-sized bag. Since space will be pretty tight on the boat (upper and lower beds), I was thinking that we should take the essentials sailing with us, and leave the rest in a locker or left luggage facility for a week. Does anybody know if this is available in Split? The bus station seems to have a 24-hr limit. Does anyone know if it's possible at the train station and the cost per day? Thanks!

I wouldnt waste time checking stations. Go to the closest hotel and ask who much they will charge you for a week. Hotels are usually the best place to leave bags for a longer time. And I think they are safer. You might ask if the bus station clerks know if there is a left luggage counter at the RR station or another place.

I have traveled that part of the world, but since we had a car, never required luggage storage. If any town has storage it should be Split.
However, when I have required it, I always ask someone where I can leave it. Your hotel staff should know. Or wherever you stay. When I am not in a hotel, I go to the nearest hotel and negotiate with the ?Concierge to keep my luggage.
