Does anyone know if there are any restrictions/laws that may prohibit shipping a bottle of alcohol to Turkey from the US? A friend there has a favorite liquor that he said is almost impossible to find. As a thank you for his hospitality, I was hoping to ship a bottle from the US. I realize I can do some online research but thought a quick post here may get me some answers. thanks.

Shippimg there may be easier than shipping to here where State laws define what can be done. Of course, Turkey being a Muslim country, there may be some surprises.....I would start with private carriers. You cannot ship alcohol via US mail, so you may need to talk to UPS, Fed Ex, or other shipper, they may be able to answer your questions.
