I'm currently in Athens and have had some plans change at the last minute and need to do the following things as quickly as possible.
I really want to see Delphi, Nafplion (and the 2 historical sites close to there, there name escapes me and I have to run to see the Acropolis..), climb Mt Olympus, and end up in Corfu.
I had really wanted to see the Diros Caves but ruled those out.
I'm thinking 2 nights in Nafplion is the way to go, but I'm really not sure the best ways to go to connect Delphi, Mt Olympus and Corfu. There is a midnight-7am Patras to Corfu ferry I'm thinking about. So maybe going Athens -> Nafplion -> Athens -> Mt Olympus -> Delphi -> Patras -> Corfu.
Has anybody here climbed Mt Olympus? How long does it take? From reading guidebooks they make it sound hard, but its only 3000m and people talk about altitude sickness but there's no way you can get altitude sickness that low so I'm not sure what to make out of the guidebooks.
What are the bus connections like in and out of Letchoro to Delphi? I have bus connections for all these places to/from Athens, but really not sure what they're like from place to place so I'm not sure how to connect the dots.
