I would like to hear from anyone that has experienced Pakistan lately! I am thinking about going soon on business matters.

If you haven't already done so, be sure to read the US State Department travel warning about Pakistan before you decide whether or not to go.

Take some of what you read in the Lonely Planet forum with a grain of salt, though. Some of the posters seem to take a perverse pleasure in traveling to warzones and dangerous areas just for the sake of doing it. "Sure the last foreigner through here was beheaded, but I've learned a few phrases in Arabic and I'll be wearing local garb, so I should be okay to hitchhike through here..."
There is a lot of good information on their forum, but you do have to wade through some of that kind of thing.
