Rick recommends taking the train from Prague to Kutna Hora, but several posters here have recommended taking the bus. What would you recommend based on your experience?

I prefer train. It seems to me more comfortable. But you have to change trains at least once. Although there are trains going directly from Prague to Kutna Hora hlavni nadrazi (main railroad station), it's still too far to walk to the center of town. You have to change trains to Kutna hora mesto (town). It's not a big problem but could be potentially tricky if you don't speak Czech. There are many buses going from Prague directly to downtown Kutna Hora. Trains and buses both take about the same time to get there. Bus is somewhat cheaper. So you decide.
