Kusadasi , Turkey Turkish Baths

Can anyone recommend a good turkish bath for women in Kusadasi Turkey?

I couldn't find any in my Lonely Planet book (I haven't been to Kusadasi, but have gone to a hamam in Istanbul and in Bodrum along the coast - both very different experiences). If you don't hear back from anyone, I would wait until you're on the ground. Kusadasi is such a touristy area that I'm sure there will be several hamams to choose from (and you can likely walk in and reserve for sometime that day or the next day). The only recommendation I would give you is to go off-peak (late in the eve, etc) to get a better experience and, if at all possible, pick a place that's more local than touristy (even though it will be more of a cultural/ language barrier).

you may want to wait till you get to your hotel and have them suggest. also, sometimes hotels may include a bath (at a bath house) so you can ask/bargain. I got a free one when I was in bodrum and it was really good. the basic service is included but the add ones are not (this is where they make money) - if you bargain you can get good deals on these add on services. the hotel can call a taxi to send you there and bring you back, it's a relaxing few hours you'll enjoy it.

Hi Mary Jill - I stayed in a city called Selcuk ..perhaps 15 miles away inland. If you have a car it was a nice city to visit ....one of the highlights of my trip. It's only a few miles away from Ephesus. In Selcuk there is a turkish bath. The name of it is Hamam. It's a coed bath but has one day for just women. My family went when it was coed. My sister wore her bathing suit (I didn't) and we all had a wrap around towel that they give you. No nudity. The cost is about 1/3 the cost of the baths in Istanbul. We all had a "bath" which consisted of a soap scrubbing and also paid for a message (male masseuse) afterward. My sister loved it. I don't think she felt out of place at all. A city the size of Kusadasi would have a public bath...probably coed as well. We asked our waiter for a recommendation. It was a great experience...make sure to go to one. Sorry I can't give you a specific recommendation in Kusadasi.
