Has anyone who has gone on the RS Turkey tour headed over to Samos after the final breakfast? My mom and I are going on the RS Turkey trip this spring and we were hoping to grab a ferry to Samos after the final breakfast. Later that evening we thought we'd take the overnight ferry from Samos to Athens. However, now looking at the timing of things, it looks like there is only one early morning ferry from Kusadasi -- leaving even before the RS breakfast would be finished. Anyone have experience with the timing of getting over the Greece after the tour?

Rather than the ferry to Athens, which takes a good deal of time and really is not that spectacular of an experience, take the ferry to Samos, spend your time on Samos, then fly to Athens via Aegean Air. This is probably the most efficient and relaxing way to do it. Not sure of the Kusadasi-Samos schedule, but typicaly they serve the day-trippers, so your option may only be early morning or late in the day.
