Has anyone travel through the Krkonose Mountains on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland? I'm looking for tips, lodging suggestions, transportation connections, etc.

You will find a lot of information if you google Krkonose. The highest mountain is Snezka which is also the highest mountain of the Czech Republic. There are several resorts there. I would recommend Spindleruv Mlyn and Svaty Petr which is actually part of S.M. By train you can only get to Vrchlabi then bus. Or bus all the way from Prague. Bus and train schedules are on www.idos.cz Another well known resorts are Pec pod Snezkou and Harrachov. But there are many more. Accommodation is plentiful. Hotels, pensions, mountain lodges and huts. A lot of hiking in summer and fall, a lot of skiing in winter.

Thank you for your response. I thought that was the case. I was also wondering if I need to book lodging in advance since I'm planning to be there the second week of July?

In July you may want to book something ahead. Just to be sure and have peace of mind.
